- Login to cPanel
- Files > File Manager > Document Root for:
- Now select the domain name you want to access
- Check “Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)”
- Click “Go”
- After a new tab or window opens, look for the .htaccess file.
- Right click on the .htaccess file and click on “Code Edit” on the menu.
- A dialogue box may pop up asking about encoding. Click “Edit” button to continue.
- Edit the file, adding the following:
RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[0-9]+\..+\.cpaneldcv$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/\.well-known/pki-validation/[A-F0-9]{32}\.txt(?:\ Comodo\ DCV)?$ RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}
- “Save Changes” when done.
- Test your website to make sure it is done correctly. In case, there is an error, restore to the previous version and try again.
- Once you are done, click “Close” to close the window.
